Clark Hoyt, ombudsman at the New York Times, weighs in on last week's Page 1 story about Sen. John McCain. Hoyt's bottomline - the story should not have focused on the "inappropriate relationship" with a lobbyist because it couldn't back it up. That angle made it a story about sex.
